Who we are
Catalyst AI Academy runs AI training programs and workshops from Phnom Penh, Cambodia. For any question about your personal data, email jan@hanken-net.com.
What we collect
- Course bookings and bookmarks: your full name, telephone number, email address (optional), the course, any promo code you enter and the price. For paid bookings, the name you give must match the bank account you pay from, so that we can match your payment.
- Contact form: your name, organization, email address, the topic you choose and your message.
- Course waitlist and AI Brief downloads: your name, your email address and/or Telegram username or phone number, and, for the waitlist, what describes you best (student, founder, and so on).
- Payments: you pay in your own banking app by scanning our KHQR code. We never receive your card details or banking login. We see the transfer details our bank shows us, such as the payer name and amount.
- Website usage: we use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to record the pages you visit, your approximate location, and your device and browser type.
How we use it
- To manage bookings, confirm your seat and verify your payment.
- To reply to your enquiries.
- To send you the weekly Southeast Asia AI Brief and updates about a bookmarked course or similar programs, only if you ticked the consent box.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
We do not sell your personal data.
Where it is stored
Booking and contact details are stored in Google Sheets, managed with Google Workspace. Google may process this data on servers outside Cambodia. Only the Catalyst AI Academy team can access it.
Services your browser connects to
When you use this website, your browser loads content from these providers, which receive your IP address and basic browser information as part of that request:
- Google Fonts, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics
- Google Sheets, for the event and course listings
- OpenStreetMap, for the map
- codetabs.com and allorigins.win, which fetch blog articles when you open them
Some courses run by partners use their own registration forms, such as Microsoft Forms. When you register there, that partner's privacy policy applies.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and contact records for up to 24 months after the course or your last message, then delete them. Google Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Analytics account.
Your choices
- You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you.
- You can withdraw your consent to updates at any time by emailing us.
- You can block Analytics cookies in your browser settings or with Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.

Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
